Software Engineering Manager, Mobile (IOS & Android)

We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join Snap’s Business & Profile Monetization team!

Our team builds powerful, intuitive products that help brands and creators monetize on Snapchat, enabling businesses and public users to achieve measurable success.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and mentor a team of developers, in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment

  • Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver

  • Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science and Engineering teams, and executive stakeholders

  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of major decisions and be a strong technical mentor

  • Hire, grow and retain high-performing team members

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer science fundamentals. 

  • Expertise in modern programming languages such as : Objective C/Swift or Java/Kotline or TypeScript language. 

  • Experience in building mobile applications with Cross-Platform solution, e.g. React Native or Flutter. 

  • Experience with leading an engineering team

  • Ability leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives

  • Strong product sense. 

  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of experience working in software engineering

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments

  • Experience with building and maintaining mission-critical and highly-available global systems

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $229,000-$343,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $218,000-$326,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $195,000-$292,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
