Who we are
FACTS is seeking a Software Engineer II who designs, creates, maintains, audits, and improves software applications by performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
The successful candidate will be working with our Grant & Aid product, which supports private, faith-based schools and scholarship organizations by processing and verifying grant applications and then awarding and reporting those grants to school scholarship offices. All of this is done via our software-as-a-service platform.

We use Scrum as our implementation of Agile principles, emphasizing iterative and collaborative development. Our team is dedicated to meeting customer needs while ensuring that our code is maintainable, testable, and of the highest quality.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Researches, designs, implements and manages software applications based on user requirements.
  • Writes, tests, and implements efficient code.
  •  Maintains and develops existing applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
  • Works within an agile environment, and responds to change quickly, including re-focusing development efforts and adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Is positive and solution-oriented with team members and stakeholders. Continues to update technical knowledge and skills.
  • Focuses on continuous improvement and delivering value

EDUCATION: 
1.    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Strong experience in modern front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., Angular) Hands-on experience with NoSQL (Non-Relational Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), as well as API concepts and development.
  • Experience that is nice to have:
  • Experience with Azure DevOps tools and MS0365.
  • Experience working in a Scrum environment.

10. Proficiency with back- end frameworks and languages (e.g. C#, .NET Core/.NET5)

11. Familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure), as well as Agile principles, a plus

12. Understanding of micro- service architectures and CI/CD, a plus

Compensation range for this position is $95,000 to $105,000 depending on experience.
