Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Structural Analysis Engineering Manager the Structural Engineer will support spacecraft structural system/sub-system design from the concept level through design reviews, prototype testing, manufacturing, and design verification/testing. In addition to predictive and analytical work, Structural Engineers may serve on-console during spacecraft test activities and operations, including periods of off-hours or on-call work.

ENG I $75,000-$100,000
ENG II $100,000 - $135,000
Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you’ll be part of a unique, fast-growing, and trusted team dedicated to designing, building, launching, and operating state-of-the-art satellites for advanced mission constellations. Reporting to the Structural Analysis Engineering Manager, you will play a critical role in spacecraft structural system and sub-system design from concept through testing and verification. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify risks, create finite element models, and conduct various analyses, including static and dynamic tests. Your ownership will extend to managing mechanical test projects from start to finish, engaging with external vendors, and participating in team discussions about vehicle arrangements. A background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is essential, along with knowledge of solid mechanics and experience in tools like Nastran and Solidworks.
