U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Automation Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Automation Engineer position will develop testing programs, design manual and automated tests, and develop automation test harnesses for quality testing and assurance in support of the bank’s applications. The position will: Develop automated tests and test frameworks for frontend and backend systems; Improve processes and process quality via test and process automation; Use tools for web, mobile, desktop, database and web-service testing (Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, SoapUI); Author, build and adopt large scale, cross-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across User Interface, back-end integration, and database levels; Use different test automation approaches (keyword-driven, Datadriven, BDD, hybrid) and technology stacks (Java, Spring, JavaScript, Python, jQuery, Angular JS,); to develop custom test automation methodologies and adapt them to clients’ reality; Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and instrument full SDLC automation, specifically cloud testing execution, reporting tools such as ALM, Jira; Support UI (web and mobile) including A11y skills and API development (SOAP and REST); Utilize DevOps and software engineering best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions; Collaborate on end-to-end testing efforts with cross-functional teams for including backend and database testing. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Openings.

Basic Qualifications:

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Industrial Biotechnology, Software Engineering or related plus 5 years (60 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as an automation engineer, software developer, IT analyst or closely related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:

The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Industrial Biotechnology, Software Engineering or related plus 5 years (60 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as an automation engineer, software developer, IT analyst or closely related occupation. Must possess 5 years (60 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience with all the following skills: (a) Working with the full project lifecycle management including planning, analysis, design, implementation, and support; (b) Developing complex Oracle/SQL queries to create project metrics and perform data integrity validations; (c) Software development for test automation using Selenium, UFT for Java and .Net Solution environments; (d) Designing and maintaining test automation frameworks using VB and C#.Net; (e) maintaining analysis, design, development, and testing of project requirements in Jira and (f) Utilizing all the following tools/technologies: Selenium, HP UFT, Jenkins, Java, VB, C#, .Net, Oracle, SQL, Mongo, JAWS, NVDA, and Axe auditor. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $119,288 - $155,000.
