Single Plaintiff Employment Associate

Our client seeks experienced Employment Attorneys to join their highly talented team. This role focuses on defending clients in single-plaintiff employment litigation (in court and arbitration) and investigating and responding to administrative charges.

The firm provides comprehensive solutions for the legal needs of companies throughout California.

***Hiring at multiple locations: Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco***

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal investigations, legal research, preparing discovery and taking/defending depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients at court conferences, hearings, and trials. While counseling experience is a plus, it is not required.
  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
  • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
  • 3 years of experience in single-plaintiff employment litigation
  • Comfort with court appearances, depositions, and mediations is essential.
  • Licensed to practice law in California.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners and attorneys to meet client needs.
  • Member in good standing of the California Bar.
  • Successful completion of the bar exam.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Ability to meet a billable hour requirement of 1,850 hours annually.

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision: 100% coverage for employees.

  • Wellness Benefit Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 annual reimbursement for wellness expenses.
