Job Overview

As our Content Creator & Social Media Manager, you’ll be joining a small, collaborative team where your ideas and creativity will directly shape our brand. You’ll have the freedom to experiment with new formats, test content across channels, and move fast without red tape. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategy and hands-on production, and wants to grow alongside a brand that’s building something original.

What Your First Few Months Will Look Like

  • Onboarding & Brand Immersion: In your first couple of weeks, you’ll get familiar with our product, tone, audience, and current marketing efforts. You’ll audit our existing channels, review past content, and start developing your content strategy.
  • Launching Core Content: By the end of your first month, you’ll have created and published your first set of videos across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn—testing different formats and refining based on early engagement.
  • Establishing a Content Rhythm: In months two and three, you’ll build out a consistent content calendar, improve workflows, and grow our presence on key platforms. You’ll track performance, learn what resonates, and adjust accordingly.
  • Driving Growth & Innovation: Once you’re in the groove, you’ll start proposing new series ideas, collaborations, or growth experiments—helping WriteHuman stay ahead of the curve and stand out in a crowded content landscape.

  • 3+ years of hands-on content creation experience, with a portfolio of social media content—especially short-form video—demonstrating growth, engagement, and storytelling
  • Comfortable and confident on camera, with a natural presence and ability to improvise or follow a loose script
  • Strong video editing skills using tools like CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or similar
  • Deep platform fluency with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn, including content styles, algorithm mechanics, and best practices
  • Excellent sense of timing, hooks, and pacing in short-form video content
  • Strong copywriting ability for captions, hooks, and CTAs that drive interaction
  • Experience with influencer marketing—whether as a creator collaborating with brands or managing partnerships from the brand side
  • Highly self-directed and organized, with the ability to manage a content calendar and hit publishing deadlines consistently
  • Based in or able to commute to Arlington, VA for hybrid in-person work and content production (Minimum 3 days/week)
  • Experience with brand storytelling, community building, or running content accounts for a startup or creator
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor work visas at this time.
