The Opportunity:
Are you ready to take on a leadership role in maintaining cleanliness and care in your assigned area? Under general supervision, you will perform custodial tasks and duties to ensure a clean and well-maintained environment. As a Custodian 3, you will lead and supervise your team of Custodians, providing instruction, training, and assistance to meet our departmental cleaning standards. In this role, you will assist the Supervisor as needed, interview and recommend applicants for selection, conduct training sessions for new and existing staff, assign and schedule work for your team, act upon leave requests, provide input on annual performance evaluations, and recommend corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary. Additional Information:
This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3,558 to $4,299 | Range 37 Step E - M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Physical ability to do required work and one year experience in housekeeping, janitorial, general or building maintenance, or custodial work OR one year experience as a Lead; OR equivalent education/experience.
6 months of custodial experience in a Clinic or Hospital setting.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver’s license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months experience leading or directing the work of others.
Experience with Housing and Dining Services.
One year of custodial experience in an educational or commercial setting.
