Job Title: Director of E-Commerce

Schedule: M-F, 9AM-6PM Pacific Time

Salary: based on experience

About the Role: We are seeking a growth-driven Director of Ecommerce to lead digital revenue expansion and optimize online customer activations. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, this role will play a pivotal part in managing ecommerce performance across DTC, Amazon, and retailer websites, enhancing the digital shopping experience, and driving key performance metrics such as Conversion Rate (CVR), Average Order Value (AOV), and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).

They excel at transforming vision into action, prioritizing initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize the digital funnel for sustainable revenue growth. Responsibilities:

  • Manage P&L for ecommerce channels, including DTC, Amazon, social marketplaces (Meta, TikTok), and retailer websites (Walmart, Target) to maximize profitability.
  • Lead and refine the ecommerce forecasting process, ensuring data-driven decision-making for strategic planning.
  • Identify and execute new revenue and profit opportunities, overseeing ecommerce promotional and sales calendar while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Optimize online merchandising, bundling, sales, and promotions to enhance performance across all channels.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to drive improvements in AOV, CVR, and site performance.
  • Utilize UI/UX insights and analytics to balance site performance with a seamless customer experience.
  • Oversee CRM strategies to enhance customer engagement, retention, and education.
  • Own the product roadmap, including new product launches, promotions, and digital funnel optimizations.
  • Ensure a smooth digital purchasing experience, including PDP ownership, product setup, shipping policies, and release testing.
  • Serve as a steward of Shopify and the broader digital ecosystem, overseeing custom development, third-party integrations, and website reliability.
  • Lead SEO strategy to enhance visibility and performance within a broader digital framework.

In 1 Month:

  • Get fully onboarded with platform integrations and technical stack (Shopify, ReCharge, Klaviyo, and third-party apps).
  • Conduct an audit of the digital funnel, identifying areas for improvement in CVR, AOV, and CLV.
  • Review ecommerce P&L and forecasting to ensure accuracy and identify gaps.
  • Present a 90-day action plan to the SVP of Operations, outlining immediate growth opportunities and technical optimizations.

In 3 Months:

  • Execute key initiatives from the 90-day plan to drive revenue growth and optimize ecommerce KPIs.
  • Audit data flows and revenue reporting to fix attribution or tracking gaps.
  • Assess SEO, site performance, UI/UX, and customer journey, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement a robust A/B testing strategy to optimize conversions and improve user experience.
  • Establish regular performance reporting to monitor ecommerce success.
  • Begin managing CRM strategy to enhance customer retention and engagement.

In 6 Months:

  • Deliver measurable improvements in ecommerce revenue and profitability across DTC, Amazon, social marketplaces, and retailer websites.
  • Achieve significant optimization in CVR, AOV, and CLV through A/B testing, UX enhancements, and technical improvements.
  • Lead successful product launches and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with company growth goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of new digital features, such as enhanced subscription models, improved PDPs, and personalized shopping experiences.
  • Optimize forecasting accuracy, operational efficiencies, and strategic decision-making through scalable processes.
  • Present a strategic review to leadership, outlining key learnings, achievements, and future growth opportunities for the next 6-12 months.
