Patient Access Supervisor

Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Patent Access Supervisor to join our team in Paducah, KY

The Patient Access Supervisor maintains patient and employee privacy and confidentiality. Enforces, supports, and assists in writing, updating, and initiating all procedural changes pertaining to registration or pre-access functions. Assists with patient flow. Assists with time and attendance. Prepares work schedules and staffing for all patient access or pre-access areas. Assists with disciplinary issues, scheduling issues, corrective counseling and any personnel related issues. Assists with interviews and the hiring of new employees. Able to assess, identify and solve registration problems on a daily basis. Responsible for meeting quality standards in the registration or pre-access process. Assists in the training of all new employees. Follows up on complaints from departments, patients, visitors, physicians, etc. Responsible for the cohesiveness with which Patient Access interacts with other hospital departments. Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures. Assists with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in Access Services related field (registration, patient accounting, and financial services) or one year of supervisory/management experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
