Principal Community Manager - Therapists

About Blueprint

At Blueprint, we’re on a mission to empower therapists with world-class tools so they can focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional mental health care.

Our AI assistant is purpose-built for therapists, automating the administrative tasks that slow them down and enabling them to operate at the top of their license. With Blueprint, therapists aren’t just managing their work; they’re supported by tools that understand the context of each client interaction. Compared to legacy software tools, Blueprint feels more like having the world’s best executive assistant at your side.

Today, over 40,000 therapists use Blueprint to enhance care for hundreds of thousands of clients. We’ve found strong product-market fit and are scaling rapidly to meet demand.

Our organization is very flat, and our team is intentionally small and talent-dense. We like people who are truthseekers, creative, and passionate about improving mental health care.

We’re a remote-first company (U.S. and Canada only, for now) and come together in person a few times a year to connect, have fun, and help shape the future of mental health care.

The Role

We’re looking for a Principal Community Manager to build and grow a thriving therapist community around Blueprint.

Therapists are natural community-builders, but most work alone as small business owners, juggling clinical care, practice management, documentation, and business operations. They crave connection, support, and resources to help them navigate their professional and business challenges. Your job is to create that space.

Who You Are

  • Ideally, you are a therapist yourself (or have been in the past) and deeply understand the profession, its challenges, and what therapists want from a peer community.
  • If not a therapist, you have demonstrated experience working closely with mental health professionals and understand their unique experience as both clinicians and small business owners.
  • You have 2-4 years of experience either managing or co-managing a professional community—ideally in mental health, digital health, or another vertical SaaS industry.
  • You’re comfortable being the face and voice of a professional online community, fostering relationships, facilitating conversations, and driving engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Launch, grow, and engage a vibrant online community for therapists
  • Develop a community strategy that aligns with Blueprint’s mission and growth goals
  • Create a welcoming and valuable space where therapists can connect, share insights, and support each other
  • Own and manage community platforms (e.g., Circle, Discord, Facebook Groups, LinkedIn, Slack, or another relevant platform)
  • Spark and moderate discussions that therapists find meaningful, relevant, and useful
  • Identify and cultivate community champions—turning engaged users into leaders and advocates
  • Develop and share community-driven content (discussion prompts, guides, Q&As, case studies, expert interviews, etc.)
  • Host and coordinate virtual events, meetups, and discussions that provide value to our therapist community
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align community initiatives with our content strategy and customer experience
  • Track community engagement metrics and optimize strategies based on data and feedback
  • Build and execute ambassador or referral programs to turn engagement into organic growth

What You Bring

  • 2-5 years of experience managing or co-managing a community for a SaaS company or professional organization
  • Deep knowledge of mental health therapists—either as a therapist yourself or through extensive experience working closely with them
  • Understanding of therapists as small business owners—you know what it takes to run a private practice and can create content that speaks to both their clinical and business needs
  • Proven ability to grow and scale a community—you’ve done this before and can show the impact of your work
  • Strong facilitation and engagement skills—you know how to start meaningful conversations and keep a community active
  • Experience hosting virtual events, AMAs, and live discussions to deepen community connections
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills—you can craft posts, respond to members, and lead discussions with empathy and authority
  • A strategic yet hands-on approach—you can set a vision but also roll up your sleeves and execute
  • Experience with online community platforms (Circle, Slack, Discord, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • A passion for mental health, therapist well-being, and creating spaces where professionals can thrive
  • Why Join Blueprint?
    • Own and optimize the marketing execution engine—you’ll make sure everything runs efficiently.
    • Work with a high-caliber team that values organization and execution.
    • See tangible impact—your work will directly enable growth and scalability.
    • Remote-first culture—work from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
    • Mission-driven work—help mental health professionals succeed with better tools and technology.

  • Benefits:
    • Competitive salary and equity
    • 100% remote – no office, no commuting
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance, with 75% of your premium covered by Blueprint
    • Semi-annual team gatherings (in Chicago!)
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Opportunities to grow with the company and shape our product
    • Hardworking, mission-driven, friendly coworkers
