Mid-Level Production/Inventory Coordinator

Spectrolab, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’s Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Production/Inventory Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Sylmar, California.

Spectrolab is the world’s leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems, with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolab’s state-of-the-art space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earth’s orbit, as well as the International Space Station.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc.
  • Monitors and analyzes work in process
  • Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems
  • Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to insure parts availability
  • Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
  • Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
  • Works under limited supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift (9:00 AM – 6:30 PM) however, candidates must be willing to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-to-9-hour shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with inventory, stocking, and cycle counting
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
  • Experience using SAP

Typical Education/Experience:

High School diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Education (e.g. Vocational, Associate, Bachelor, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay & Benefits:

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $50,150 - $61,950
