Job Description

At our Finland ASIC development center locations at Oulu and Espoo, we develop ASICs for Bosch in consumer and industrial sensing applications. Your responsibility will be the architecture and digital design of Mixed-Signal or System-on-chip ASICs for consumer applications.

  • Observe and think ahead: You work in interdisciplinary teams and develop mixed-mode ASIC architecture and micro-architecture, and guide the design team from concept to implementation.
  • Reliable implementation: You help us to ensure the “First Time Right” of our IC Designs by managing requirements, developing ASIC reference model and closely collaborating with our verification and validation teams.
  •  Networked communication: You are part of an international and globally distributed team, working with System Architects and other project/platform stakeholders.
  • Think holistically: Join the development until product release, where you support the characterization and validation of our IC Designs after tapeout.
  • Conscientious coordination: You plan and delegate design tasks together with the ASIC team.

Qualifications

  • Personality: High level of enthusiasm, creativity and willingness to work in international and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Working Practice: Effective team player with focused and independent working style; Minimum 3 to 5 years of Industry experience or a fitting PhD are required.
  • Required Experience:
    • Deep Understanding of ASIC architectures, evaluation of architecture alternatives and tradeoff analysis based on power, performance and area.
    •  Requirement engineering.
    •  Practical experience on RTL (VHDL/Verilog) and/or Analog IC Design.
    • Basic understanding of digital data processing.
    • Basic skills in project management (planning, delegation, tracking...).
  • Desirable experience:
    • Modelling (Matlab, Simulink, SystemC) and pre-design architectural validation.
    • Near-threshold design experience.
    • Understanding of digital backend tools (synthesis, timing analysis, P&R).
  • Languages: Proficient English language skills.
  • Education: Degree (M.Sc./ PhD.) of electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent with outstanding results.
