Senior Engineering Manager

bunch is building the backbone of private markets, combining exceptional expertise, operational excellence, and frictionless technology. The platform enables funds and private investors to set up and manage their investment entities seamlessly and securely.

To expand our core team, we are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager who wants to play a pivotal role in growing our product development team and transforming the private markets industry.

While you’ll support and guide engineers, our engineers are self-driven in terms of personal growth. Your primary responsibilities will be ensuring our engineering output delivers tangible value, as well as technical and architectural direction and team resources.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate with Product Management: Actively participate in problem discovery and solution creation by leveraging your technical expertise

  • Own capacity management: Taking a proactive role in the planning and truly owning the output of your team

  • Drive collaboration across teams: Work closely with other cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth delivery of new features and improvements

  • Manage our architecture and tech debt: Ensure we are set up for growth in both team-specific and cross-cutting areas

  • Team growth: Make sure our engineers understand the core problems we are working on and that their day-to-day work contributes to their growth plan

What you bring with you

To excel as a member of the Product Development team, you should combine a passion for technology with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

  • You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.

  • 3+ years' experience leading teams

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in backend development with:

    • TypeScript or any strongly typed language

    • SQL databases

    • Nest.js or similar web/dependency management frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core)

    • Svelte or similar front-end development tools

  • Experience with private markets, fintech, highly regulated industries, or document processing is a plus

  • Strong understanding of system design principles, scalability, and performance tuning

  • Frontend & Backend: TypeScript on both the frontend (Svelte) and the backend (Node.js with Nest.js)

  • Infrastructure: Kubernetes (K8S) on top of AWS

    • FusionAuth for authentication

    • Retool for low-code internal frontend solutions

    • Twilio and SendGrid for sending SMS and emails

    • Tally for creating custom forms
