The Staff Accountant at CertifID has a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team at a Series B SaaS company. In this role, you will join a committed finance team, work in a dynamic setting, gain hands-on experience and play a vital role in nurturing continued growth.

You will play a pivotal role in managing the accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Your knowledge in accounting principles, attention to detail, and analytical skills will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams, and build operational rigor through best practices to support financial growth and stability.
How you will make your impact:
- Contribute and drive the company's day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and preparing necessary accruals and journal entries.
- Financial analysis, ad hoc reporting to identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined and sound financial solutions.
- Responsible for accurate customer billing and revenue recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
- Coordinate and collaborate during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and provide insights into financial performance.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and we welcome applications from individuals at the outset of their accounting careers.
- Certified Public Accountant or enrollment is preferred but not required.
- Accounting experience, preferably within the SaaS industry is preferred
- Entry level proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Knowledgeable in internal controls and audit procedures.
- Proven analytical skills, defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement and/or corrective actions
- Team contributor who will collaborate and look for new ways to improve processes as we scale
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Self-starter and able to determine priorities with minimal supervision
