Your new role - Engineering Manager

Job location - On-site in Düsseldorf or remote in Germany

Our Engineering department is divided into cross-functional, verticalized development teams, who are focused on delivering continuous improvements, features and developing new products. With strong collaboration from our Support, QA and SRE Teams you will be ensuring the delivery process and the stability of our products. 

With the backing from our Product and People Team, our Director/Architect and VP of Engineering we are constantly looking to overcome new challenges, to innovate, and to ensure the success of our products and satisfaction of our customers. 

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead & Inspire – Manage, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Empower Growth – Provide resources, training, and mentorship to enhance engineers’ skills, ensuring they stay ahead of industry best practices.
  • Set Clear Goals & Track Progress – Establish team objectives, conduct quarterly assessments, and provide actionable feedback to drive professional development.
  • Ensure High-Quality Standards – Implement best practices and training programs to uphold product excellence and engineering quality.
  • Remove Roadblocks – Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder the team’s progress, enabling engineers to focus on impactful work.
  • Optimize Structure & Processes – Design scalable team structures and workflows that support efficiency, agility, and long-term growth.
  • Bridge Communication Gaps – Facilitate seamless collaboration between engineering disciplines to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Work alongside the Product Owner and Tech Lead to define and execute long-term initiatives that enhance team performance and innovation.
  • Manage HR & Talent Strategy – Oversee recruitment, compensation, career development, and long-term vacation planning to support a thriving, motivated team.
