PROCESS SERVERAre you ready to begin an exciting career with the County of San Diego? The Office of the District Attorney is now recruiting for Process Servers. Incumbents in this position serve criminal subpoenas to witnesses, motions to attorneys, transport witnesses to and from court and handle original evidence throughout the County. Process Servers assist Deputy District Attorneys, District Attorney Investigators, Paralegals, and other personnel with non-enforcement duties that directly and indirectly support District Attorney investigations.The Ideal Candidate:• Enjoys face-to-face customer interaction with people representing diverse cultures and backgrounds• Exhibits confidence, strong communication and presentation skills• Has experience working in a structured environment with standard operating procedures and defined chain of command• Is familiar with duties and responsibilities that require an extremely high attention to detail• Provides the highest quality of service to the public• Performs investigative support duties requiring strong report writing skills• Demonstrates a high degree of quality control awareness and accountability for self and the overall success of the team• Functions calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity, tact and diplomacy• Maintains a positive, respectful and flexible attitude in all situations• Exercises appropriate judgment in answering questions and releasing information• Maintains a clean driving record (required upon hire)• Ability to work in various neighborhoods• Ability to evaluate situations and people accurately and adopt appropriate and/or effective courses of actionHIRING PROCESS AND TIMELINE:The timeline for this recruitment is outlined below.• Job Offer and Background Process begins: Shortly after the interviews.
