Business Development Specialist

Description

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (“CPT”) is seeking a Business Development Specialist to play a key role in expanding our visibility, network, and pipeline of opportunities. As an integral part of our business development team, this is an externally-facing position designed for a dynamic and outgoing individual who thrives in relationships building and is passionate about connecting with the government and industry stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the growth team to proactively identify and reach out to potential government customers and industry partners to enhance CPT’s position within target markets and on priority opportunities. 

· Establish and nurture strong relationships with customer stakeholders, primes, and strategic partners.

· Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and other engagements.

· Track and document outreach efforts, meeting notes, and follow-up actions in a CRM or internal tracking system.

· Maintain current awareness of defense and federal market trends, priorities, and opportunities.

· Assist in organizing customer visits, briefings, and company-hosted events.

· Support development of BD briefs and messaging in coordination with marketing and technical teams.

Requirements

  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in business development, customer engagement, or similar external-facing role, preferably within the federal defense marketplace.

• Familiarity with DoD or other federal agency environments is strongly preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a supportive, collaborative, and approachable personality.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to travel as needed for events, meetings, and engagements.
