Director of Energy Analytics

About David Energy

David Energy is creating a new kind of power company. Traditional Retail Electricity Providers (REPs) are outdated, opaque, and painful for customers to engage with. We use software to monitor our customers' real-time energy usage, and we aggregate and analyze that data to maximize the value they get from their energy assets – batteries, EVs, HVAC systems and other distributed energy resources (DERs) via participation in energy markets. Our mission is to run the grid on clean energy 24/7.

Duties

Manage grid services, including demand response and capacity tag management in multiple geographies. Execute and manage capacity hedges and allied energy market operations, including price response, with a focus on optimizing energy pricing. Manage energy efficiency consulting services for all client accounts. Manage enrollments in Con Edison, NYISO, PJM and NEISO demand response programs. Oversee energy conservation projects that include both capital and operational energy efficiency measures for a portfolio of commercial businesses, multi-family residential buildings and colleges/universities. Perform energy studies and calculations of energy savings via energy modelling and statistical analysis for both existing buildings and new construction projects. Help clients manage energy demand, manage the implementation of building management systems to optimize existing energy use and equipment operability through statistical and engineering analysis of building energy data, and evaluate the feasibility of specialized heating, ventilation and air-conditioning projects for key clients. Liaison with federal and state incentive programs to secure the necessary rebates available for energy efficiency projects. Oversee and certify the execution of multiple projects concerning compliance with Local Law 87 audit and retro-commissioning laws as mandated by the New York City Department of Buildings.
