Product Researcher

As a Product Researcher at DCSA, you'll drive industry-wide transformation that impacts global supply chains. Working with major ocean carriers representing over 75% of global container capacity, you'll identify and solve critical industry challenges that shape the future of global trade. 

Your expertise will be instrumental to DCSA, ensuring focussed investments on the most impactful user and industry problems, directly contributing to our mission and finding new revenue opportunities. 

Job Overview 

DCSA is expanding the product team and seeking a Product Researcher uncover new product opportunities. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problem spaces, validate solutions, and transition validated concepts to our product delivery team. As the ambassador for user-centric product thinking within our organization, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy and execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead product discovery initiatives to identify new product opportunities that fit DCSA's strategic objectives. 
  • Work with DCSA industry experts and industry stakeholders to identify challenges and build our product pipeline. 
  • Manage and prioritize product opportunities in partnership with the CPO. 
  • Drive and execute product discovery from problem definition through to concept ideation and validation. 
  • Leverage your analytical thinking, creativity, and business sense to create strong product concepts and business cases. 
  • Continuously improve DCSA's discovery process in line with industry specific needs, to increase efficiency and success rates. 
  • Work with product managers and product owners on continuous discovery on existing DCSA products. 
  • Design and facilitate innovation processes with partners and members, including design sprints and ideation workshops. 
  • 5+ years of experience in product discovery, user research, and/or innovation roles. This is a must have. 
  • You bring a can-do attitude and a curious, creative, and analytical mindset to complex challenges. 
  • Strong foundation in design thinking, lean startup methods, and user-centered design. 
  • Track record of leading discovery processes that delivered / contributed to successful products. 
  • Strong skills in facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions. 
  • Experience with a range of research and validation methods and ability to turn data into actionable insights. 
  • Proficiency with prototyping and validation techniques for concept testing. 
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, including presenting to executives. 
  • Required: Experience driving product discovery in complex B2B environments. 
  • Beneficial: Experience in logistics or container shipping is beneficial but not required.
