Delaware Nation Investments/Emerging Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Engineer & Project Manager to oversee and drive network infrastructure projects supporting the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) across Tinker AFB, Hill AFB, Robins AFB, and Wright-Patterson AFB. This role requires a strong technical background in network engineering along with project management expertise to lead teams, coordinate resources, and ensure the successful execution of complex network solutions within the Industrial Depot Maintenance (IDM) and Depot Support Services (DSS) environments.
An Active Secret Clearance is REQUIRED.
An IAM Level II certification is REQUIRED (ex. CISSP)
This position is 100% onsite.

- Lead and manage network engineering projects from inception to deployment, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including military clients, cybersecurity teams, and network operations personnel.
- Develop and maintain project roadmaps, risk assessments, and status reports for leadership and key decision-makers.
- Oversee the implementation of network security and risk management frameworks in accordance with DoDI 8510.01, RMF for DoD Information, and AFI 17-101.
- Ensure RMF compliance under AO guidance and facilitate risk assessments for critical infrastructure.
- Provide strategic guidance on network architecture, security, and automation initiatives.
- Design, implement, and optimize network routing and switching solutions, including OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP).
- Oversee network security implementations, including AAA (TACACS+/RADIUS), ACLs, DHCP snooping, and intrusion prevention measures.
- Manage the deployment of Quality of Service (QoS), network automation (NETCONF, RESTCONF, Python, Ansible), and advanced IP services (Multicast, VRF-lite).
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, utilizing Wireshark, Cisco Embedded Packet Capture (EPC), and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Mentor and guide a team of network engineers, ensuring technical proficiency and professional growth.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, system administration, and Air Force IT personnel to ensure seamless network operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors to support procurement, installation, and maintenance efforts.
- Ensure network designs meet Air Force security policies, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Maintain detailed network diagrams, technical documentation, and project reports.
- Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance the team’s capabilities.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering with leadership or project management responsibilities.
- Proven experience in routing, switching, network security, and automation.
- Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Air Force Information Technology policies.
- Strong understanding of Cisco networking platforms and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies.
- Experience with project management methodologies (PMP certification preferred but not required).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Security+ (Required)
- CCNP or equivalent network certification (Preferred)
- PMP or Agile/Scrum Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance is REQUIRED.
