Estimating Coordinator – Wyoming, Michigan


DISHER is currently partnering with a home builder in West Michigan in their search for an Estimating Coordinator. The Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for working with the ERP system to set up product options, communicate information to trade partners, and track variances throughout the home construction process.  This position will be responsible for accurate plan take-offs and material lists.

What you will get to do:
  • Estimate materials required build out budgets for the house plan with related options.
  • Build out material lists and contracts for new home plans in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure trade partners are properly assigned by region.
  • Use take-off software to accurately depict material needs and quantities for a house plan.
  • Research and eliminate any variances through ongoing communications with field personnel and field visits.
  • Work with trade partners to establish requirements for updating and maintaining scopes of work.
  • Develop Sworn Statements and budgets for each home to send to lending institutions.
  • Collaborate with Interior Design and Architecture to build options with proper take-offs.
  • Input original direct costs into budget and prepare direct costs analysis and variances for review.  Ensure house budgets are accurate.
  • Educate other departments when changes occur to base house plans or options.
  • Create and foster a builder of choice mentality throughout the trade partner community.
  • Establish pricing for options taking into consideration margins and customer acceptance.  


What will make you successful:
  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction purchasing and estimating.
  • Demonstrate a positive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Aptitude in technology as this continues to grow in importance in this role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills and ability to complete tasks on schedule.
  • Ability to work within a team to collaborate while being self-motivated.
  • Experience in creating and following processes.
