Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Experian Software Services Team. You will guide testing process and automation excellence through good business, product awareness and use of software quality best practices. You will be part of an Agile development team, reporting to а Senior Software Team Manager, working with multiple partners such as Product Managers, Product Owners, Delivery and Operations Experts, to deliver a high-quality software product.

What you'll do:

  • Be part of all phases of Software Development Lifecycle;
  • Determine product quality goals, standards and levels, with input from product managers, and demonstrate how these will be achieved through the QA Approach;
  • Take part in software design discussions, reviews, test planning and test strategy definition;
  • Create comprehensive test suits;
  • Maintain and extend the available automation suits and frameworks;
  • Support and extends the existing CI/CD pipelines;
  • Build and extend a diverse set of functional and non-functional tests;
  • Participate in research and adoption of new tools;
  • Collaborate with other team members in implementation, code reviews, Scrum ceremonies.
  • Ensure defect management process is followed within team;
  • Perform investigation of production defects, including root cause analysis;
  • Reduce cycle time by identifying bottlenecks and streamlining release management/deployment activities (e.g. through automation);

Qualifications

What you are expected to bring:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software QA specialist;
  • Experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured or similar);
  • Experience with UI testing (Selenium, Cypress or similar);
  • Experience working with BDD (Cucumber or similar);
  • Experience with non-functional testing, like performance and resilience;
  • Experience in Java/C# or other OOP languages;
  • Experience with test automation and exposure to different test frameworks;
  • Experience of bug tracking and test management systems;
  • Experience with Git or similar versioning control system;
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle;
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins);
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases;
  • Open personality - seek and give feedback, willing to share knowledge and help;
  • Proficiency in English;

An advantage will be:

  • Information Technologies, Software Engineering or similar Higher Educational Degree level;
  • Knowledge and confidence with JMeter, Grafana, Splunk, OpenSearch, Kibana, Kafka (or other messaging)
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks is a plus (JUnit, Groovy);
  • Experience with DevOps technologies and cloud computing (AWS, Kubernetes);
  • Experience with Virtualization/Containerization (Docker);
  • Basic knowledge of OS (Linux/Windows) and networking;
  • Experience with Databases - PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB;
