Description
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will use your skills to support Manufacturing or Distribution Operations in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and compressors, sensors, and other devices throughout the building. Building maintenance common to the trades may be included periodically. Routinely completes work orders or services equipment common to the operations related to installation, maintenance and repair of conveyors, bagging machines, temperature control systems, processing, automated packaging, and distribution equipment. In addition to further developing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles. Supports preventive maintenance routines.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
At this level the Maintenance Technician performs a broad scope of work independently applying multiple trades that may include working in multiple maintenance trades such as hydraulics, plumbing, refrigeration, electrical, fabrication, and welding. Regularly applies advanced working knowledge of technical food/fruit processing, ripening, temperature controls, programming settings, manufacturing equipment, metal detection, and varied fields of specialization. Exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts, and proposes a course of action. Performs advance shop floor competencies.

WORK DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this Job work is primarily performed in a chilled environment or maintenance shop. Regularly required to stand, walk, squat, stoop, bend, reach, talk or hear. Required to use hands and fingers finger, handle, lift, feel, push or pull objects. Exertsing up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently. Often required to lift and carry 10 lbs force constantly to move objects. Exposed to chilled or warm temperatures within the operation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
