About FluidStack:

Over the last two years, we have seen significant fundamental breakthroughs in the capabilities of AI systems. AI has transformed from a niche technology, applicable in few spheres, to one that is surpassing human-level performance on a diverse range of tasks, including copywriting, code generation, translation, speech recognition, autonomous robotics, poker, and even reasoning.

 

As a consequence, training compute on models has been increasing 5x every year, plans are being made for training runs that cost $1bn, and companies ready $100bn GPU deployments. An arms race has started in compute - all in pursuit of building the most sophisticated and capable models in existence. 

 

FluidStack exists to help AI companies by providing rapid access to large amounts of high-quality compute. Our mission is to unlock the computer-bottleneck for all AI companies, to help them train and serve their next generation of Large Language Models (LLMs).

 

About the Role:

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Prospect and close net new customer deals with leading AI Labs in a defined geographic territory or industry vertical.  

  • Develop and shape the overall deal strategy and structure to meet customer business outcome and goals.

  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding clients’ core business needs as they scale.

  • Take the lead in rapidly responding to RFP’s from target accounts and prospects.

  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.

  • Participate in cluster build out discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, & engineering

  • Willing to get hands dirty and proactively develop connections with prospects, including digital outreach, attending events and steering potential customers into and down the sales funnel.   

  • Accurately manage and communicate monthly forecasts and pipeline.

  • Ability to travel <30% of the time.

 

Key Qualifications

  • Located in the Bay Area or NYC market

  • 3+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS at a high growth technology start-up.

  • You have a strong desire to learn and can pick up new skills quickly and independently.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients.

  • You believe that hard work is a prerequisite to success, and you are highly ambitious.

  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability.

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations.

  • BA/BS degree
