So if you love sports and their community building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.

The Position:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer, ML Platform to lead the next phase of scaling our cloud-based machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV) systems, reporting directly to the CV Platform Team Lead. This role is instrumental in moving beyond batch processing and toward real-time, high-throughput ML infrastructure supporting multi-model systems.

This is not a general cloud engineering role, requiring expertise in designing ML infrastructure and an understanding of the unique challenges in scaling ML models. You will be hands-on, strategic, and able to guide the long-term architecture of our ML Platform.

By laying a foundation for scalability, you will directly impact our ability to execute on GameChanger’s long-term vision, enabling current and future teammates to thrive in a well-architected environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect and scale cloud-based infrastructure purpose-built for real-time and batch ML workloads, ensuring system efficiency and reliability.

  • Design model-serving infrastructure to handle high-throughput inference workloads, model versioning, and multi-model interactions.

  • Design observability strategies, ensuring model performance, system reliability, and infrastructure health are continuously monitored.

  • Collaborate with ML/DevOps/Backend/Security Engineers on projects, integrating new tools, improving deployment speeds, scalability, and resiliency to support their evolving roadmaps.

Who You Are:

  • 4+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with a focus on scaling ML/AI infrastructure in high-throughput, real-time environments.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent) to automate cloud infrastructure for ML systems.

  • Deep knowledge of AWS services, patterns and best practices for resiliency, scalability, and security.

  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS) with a focus on solving real-world scalability challenges.

Perks:

  • Work remotely throughout the US* or from our well-furnished, modern office in Manhattan, NY.

  • Unlimited vacation policy.

  • Paid volunteer opportunities.

  • Technology stipend - $4,000 every 2 years after your start to make sure you have the latest and greatest technology

  • WFH stipend - $500 annually to make your WFH situation comfortable.

  • Learning stipend - $500 annually towards continued development

  • Monthly physical, mental, wellness & learning stipend offered through Holisticly

  • Monthly lifestyle stipend offered through Fringe

  • Full health benefits - medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA, HRA, HSA, and coverage for family/dependents.

  • Retirement savings - Traditional and Roth 401K plans are offered through Vanguard, with an immediate company match.

  • Life insurance - basic life, supplemental life, and dependent life.

  • Disability leave - short-term disability and long-term disability.

  • Company paid parental leave - up to 20 weeks for birthing parents and up to 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.

  • Family building benefits offered through Progyny.

  • DICK’S Sporting Goods and their family of brands teammate discount.

The target salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
