Event Services – Athletics Event Coordinator Associate (FWS/NFWS)

Job Title: Event Services - Athletics Event Coordinator Associate (FWS/NFWS)

Purpose within the Organization: 

This position will aid and support the Event Services Department for athletic event functions with planning, facilitating, and executing events. Event Services will rely on this position to work collaboratively not only with student workers but also with varying levels of full-time employees and external vendors.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all event preparation.
  • Organization of all event details pre & post.   
  • Assist & facilitate the setup & teardowns of each event.
  • Tracking events with minimal supervision.
  • Using Pre & Post data to track all events.
  • Student worker will provide excellent customer service and communication.
  • Student workers will assist full-time staff at varying levels of all athletic events on campus.
  • Has initiative to handle tasks given to him/her and see them through.
  • Event work often involves early mornings, nights, and/or weekends.

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Able to work with all Microsoft suite programs along with other computer skills. 

Qualifications:

  • Able to multitask and follow directions. Must be detail-oriented. 
  • Able to organize and prioritize tasks. Excellent time management skills
  • Has a reliable and dependable nature.
  • Able to work up to 20 hours a week – dependent on event schedule.

Experience/Education

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
