Role Overview/Team

Are you eager to gain hands-on experience in software development? As a Software Developer Intern, you will directly contribute to optimizing and enhancing our B2B ordering platform. This platform is critical for improving business processes, and you will be an integral part of the team, solving real problems through data interpretation, system performance monitoring, and telemetry evaluation. You will be collaborating with the team to analyze and improve existing processes, as well as developing solutions to streamline use cases that are currently inefficient. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work with cutting-edge technologies, and directly impact the product’s success.

Mission and Goals

Your mission is to help improve and optimize our B2B ordering platform by:

  • Streamlining processes and enhancing system performance.
  • Collaborating with the development team to analyze and improve existing workflows.
  • Assisting in data interpretation and system performance monitoring to ensure smooth operations.

Objectives:

  • Development & Testing: Assist in the development and implementation of features for the platform using technologies like PHP, ReactJS, and .NET.
  • Problem-Solving: Work with mentors and the team to refine your problem-solving approach and apply it to real-world challenges.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to team discussions and help identify areas for improvement in system performance.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clean, scalable code and contribute to documentation, ensuring that your solutions are easy to understand and maintain.

Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP (Symfony or similar), ReactJS, or .NET. Basic understanding of SQL querying and optimization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to assess issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Adaptability & Learning: Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, taking the initiative to solve problems and improve processes.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Docker, GitHub, GCP, and PostgreSQL.
  • Understanding of database management and data processing.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with agile development frameworks like SCRUM or KANBAN.
