Location: Hybrid working with 2 days a week in either our London, Oxford or Cambridge offices

Role Purpose:
We are looking for a Commercial Lead to define and execute our go-to-market strategy, drive customer acquisition, and optimise revenue growth for our SaaS product. This role blends strategic thinking, business development, and hands-on execution to ensure commercial success.

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue growth.

  • Identify and capitalise on new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels.

  • Own the sales pipeline, managing lead generation, conversion, and retention efforts.

  • Collaborate with the product team to align commercial strategies with product development.

  • Lead pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies to maximise market competitiveness.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to refine our approach.

  • Monitor and report on key commercial metrics to track performance and inform strategy.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience in a commercial role within a SaaS or technology-driven business targeting R&D in life sciences.

  • Strong background in business development, sales, or partnerships with a track record of driving revenue growth.

  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and align commercial goals with product and marketing teams.

  • Comfortable engaging with statistical geneticists and technical experts.
