Job Posting Description

Holman currently has an excellent opportunity available with our Learning & Development team for an Instructional Designer.

Schedule: Hybrid (T, W, TH in-office and M&F remote work option)

*MUST BE LOCATED LOCAL TO THE MAPLE SHADE, NJ AREA*

What will you do?

  • Use a variety of techniques for determining the instructional content of courses, curricula and programs incorporating sound principles of adult learning theory, ensuring that program design accommodates different learning styles.
  • Create thorough design documents for classroom, self-paced and blended learning including measurable learning objectives, instructional activities, and other learning tools and resources for automotive personnel.
  • Partner with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to clearly understanding training request, gather relevant information and develop a comprehensive training program to support business needs.
  • Use a variety of learning technologies to achieve desired learning outcomes.
  • Develop instructional materials/assets including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, skills assessments, and job aids.
  • Continuously improve instructional materials based on learner feedback and performance data.
  • Maintain a learner-centric focus, ensuring materials are engaging, interactive, and accessible.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.

What are we looking for?

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to create both Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and eLearning modules across various formats.
  • A portfolio of work showcasing expertise in instructional design and the application of adult learning theory.
  • Instructional Design Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of adult learning theory and principles.
  • Proven ability to create a variety of instructional materials, including facilitator guides, job aids, and learner guides.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite

Content Creation and Development:

  • Ability to design and develop engaging eLearning and Instructor-Led Training content that supports knowledge retention, skills development, and real-world application.
  • Strong writing and editing skills for producing clear, concise, and learner-friendly content.
  • Experience creating multimedia resources (e.g., videos, animations, graphics) to enhance learner engagement.

Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in collecting and incorporating feedback to continuously improve training materials and content.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $56,400.00 - $81,775.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
