UX Engineer

As a UX Engineer at Kitman Labs, your key responsibilities include refining and maintaining our design system for consistency, enhancing information architecture, collaborating with engineers and product teams to ensure designs are scalable and functional, and advocating for user-centered design principles. When refining a design system, it’s important to first assess its current state and identify areas for improvement. Gather feedback from users and team members to understand pain points. Then, prioritize updates based on user needs and business goals, ensuring that the design maintains consistency and scalability across products.

In my previous project, I conducted usability testing to gather user feedback on navigation. Based on this, I redesigned the user flow to streamline access to key features, which ultimately led to a significant decrease in user frustration and an increase in engagement metrics.

I primarily use Figma for its collaborative features, allowing for real-time feedback and edits. However, I also have experience with coding interactive prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks to test and validate concepts, which helps in gathering user insights during the development phase.

I regularly read blogs, participate in online forums, and attend industry conferences and workshops. Additionally, I engage with other UX professionals through networking, which allows me to share insights and stay informed about the latest trends and user experience strategies.

Sure! I recently conducted user testing for a new feature we were launching. I recruited participants who matched our target audience, observed their interactions with the prototype, and collected insights on their experience, which enabled us to make data-driven adjustments before the final launch.
