Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder's NorCal Area is looking for an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team in NorCal.  This person will need to be flexible to sit in both our Concord office and also our San Jose office. Additionally, we are looking for an experienced go getter that can manage projects, mentor more junior staff and do technical work.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of geotechnical engineering experience with a BS in Geotechnical Engineering (MS preferred). This individual will provide high-end technical leadership on complex projects. Strong analytical experience is required in the areas including, soil/rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention-systems, deep foundation design, soil improvement techniques, and pavement design. Knowledge of infrastructure, drilling operations and heavy civil project design and construction are preferred. Experience in leading technical projects, directing multi-functional teams and developing and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in providing engineering analyses and oversight of technical delivery,
• Leadership in proposal preparation, project scheduling and deadline delivery
• Strong capabilities in developing work with new and existing clients
• Ability to effectively lead and mentor project teams and staff
• Stewardship of quality, and Risk management
• Experience in Northern California strongly desired
• Ability to bring personal client relationship/portfolio work to Kleinfelder a plus
• Adherence to project budgets and financial performance

Experience:

• Minimum 7-10 years of related experience in geotechnical engineering and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required
• Proven experience in geotechnical engineering in either a technical or project management role in a professional services firm
• PE in CA or the ability to obtain within 4 months required, GE preferred

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $93,787 - 161,990.
