Backed by $22 million in Series A funding, we’re expanding globally, partnering with major food industry leaders like Nestlé and Kaufland to help them reduce emissions along their supply chains, while making them more resilient and profitable at the same time. Since 2020, we’ve supported 3,500 farmers, covering 700,000 hectares (5% of Germany’s farmland!).

Your mission:

At Klim, data is at the heart of making regenerative farming the best choice for farmers. As our Head of Data, you will define and drive our data strategy, ensuring a strong foundation for analytics, data science, and engineering. You’ll build scalable infrastructure, develop impactful models, and foster a data-driven culture that empowers teams to make informed decisions.

Your responsibilities:

• Communicate and champion a clear data vision, fostering a data-driven culture across the organisation.

• Own and evolve data strategy, aligning with senior management and stakeholders.

• Oversee and scale data architecture to support current and future business needs.

• Lead data science efforts, enhancing soil organic carbon models and developing world-class recommendations.

• Enable self-service analytics, ensuring teams can access and trust the data they need to make informed decisions.

• Drive high-quality analyses, ensuring insights are digestible and actionable for internal and external stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for innovation in data science and machine learning.

• Fully own resource planning and hiring, ensuring the team has the right skills to succeed.

• Ensure data compliance meets required due diligence expectations

Your profile:

Communication & stakeholder management

• Ability to clearly communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management.

• Proven ability to identify stakeholder needs and deliver impactful data solutions, especially in analytics.

Technical expertise

• Broad experience in at least three of the following areas: data engineering, data management, data science, analytics, BI, machine learning, or AI.

• Proven track record of building scalable, high-impact data products and robust data architectures.

Strategic execution & leadership

• Ability to develop and execute a data vision and strategy that drive business impact and innovation.

• Experience building and scaling a data organisation across different functions (data science, data engineering, analytics).

• A leader who excels at empowering and developing talent, fostering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
