Electrical Engineer Intern

Do you wonder what makes buildings tick? LaBella Associates, is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Buffalo, NY office. This position will work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. Individual will work closely with other engineers and team members to produce electrical engineering documents that detail designs for the built environment.

Labella’s architects and engineers are passionate about problem solving, affecting change to address local and regional issues, protecting natural resources, and planning for the future.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new skills. Some of the duties the candidate may be involved in include:

  • Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD from markups/redlines.
  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
  • An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more.
  • Working towards a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or related field.
  • Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus.
  • Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
  • Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
  • This career requires an attention to detail; the details matter!
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Salary Range: $20.00 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
