Role Overview

The Director of Vendor Performance is a key leadership role responsible for optimizing vendor relationships, enhancing procurement processes, and driving supply chain efficiency to support seamless operations across multiple centers. This role will play a critical part in ensuring high-quality patient care by managing vendor contracts, negotiating cost-effective agreements, and implementing performance metrics to track and improve supplier reliability.

This is a remote role with preference given to those living in the East, South or Midwest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance procurement processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.

  • Develop and implement vendor performance metrics to track service levels, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Establish bulk purchasing strategies and strategic vendor partnerships to drive cost savings.

  • Manage contract negotiations to secure favorable terms while maintaining service quality and supply chain integrity.

  • Identify and address vendor-related gaps, ensuring that sourcing and management initiatives align with business goals.

Cost Optimization & Vendor Reliability

  • Develop strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining or improving product and service quality.

  • Monitor and assess vendor performance, ensuring accountability for service level agreements (SLAs) and contract terms.

  • Work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and clinical teams to optimize spending and resource allocation.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations, preferably in a healthcare or multi-site environment.

  • Proven track record of negotiating vendor contracts and driving cost efficiencies.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track, report, and improve vendor performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across teams and with external vendors.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment with a strong focus on operational excellence.
