The RFMSS ROPD Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive, engaging, and effective instruction to Army personnel on the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) and Range Operations Professional Development (ROPD) content. This role supports the Army’s mission to enhance readiness through effective range operations and digital training system proficiency.
Deliver RFMSS and ROPD training in virtual and in-person environments, adhering to Army standards and LMI instructional methodologies.
Prepare and maintain course materials, training aids, instructor guides, and student handouts.
Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements to curriculum and delivery methods.
Maintain a working knowledge of current RFMSS functionality, user roles, system updates, and integration with ATIS.
Coordinate with stakeholders to schedule, plan, and execute training events, including preparing the virtual environment.
Provide after-action reviews, student feedback reports, and metrics on training outcomes.
Support the development and continuous improvement of ROPD content to align with Army training requirements and enterprise systems integration.
Collaborate with functional SMEs, training developers, and system engineers to maintain alignment with current operational procedures.
Travel as required to support on-site instruction and Army training events.
Experience with RFMSS as an instructor, user, or administrator.
Demonstrated instructional experience, preferably in Army or DoD environments.
Familiarity with the Range Operations Professional Development (ROPD) program.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt instructional content to a range of learner types and Army roles.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and virtual training platforms.
Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance (or meet eligibility).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/DoD experience.
Graduate of a recognized Army Instructor Training Course (e.g., Army Basic Instructor Course).
Experience supporting ATIS or associated Army training systems.
Familiarity with Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) standards.
Experience supporting enterprise training modernization efforts.
