Job Summary
Lynk is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Mission Operations Ground DevOps team and help build and enhance our Mission Operations Software System. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web-based applications that support satellite ground operations. You will work on both front-end and back-end components, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
No space-related experience is required. Creativity and a willingness to learn new things are a must! thrive on building scalable software as part of a team and have a proven track record of full-stack development, we’d love to meet you!
Core Responsibilities
Develop and maintain full-stack applications for satellite command and control software and ground station monitoring.
Design, develop, and document scalable, reliable, and secure system architectures
Design and build intuitive, high-performance front-end interfaces for mission-critical applications.
Build and optimize scalable back-end services and APIs to support real-time operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both development and production environments.
Work closely with Mission Operations Center personnel to ensure software meets operational needs.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in full-stack development and space systems.

Scale Mission Operations for a Growing Fleet
Enhance the Mission Operations System to support a large fleet of satellites and ground stations concurrently.
Leverage cloud-based technologies and distributed architectures to improve resource utilization and system availability.
Enhance both frontend and backend systems to improve responsiveness, scalability, and reliability.
Optimize Database Performance
Improve database performance to handle rapidly scaling data volumes and enhance response times.
Implement performance-enhancing strategies to support anticipated growth in satellite and ground station data.
Strengthen Security Measures
Implement Zero Trust Architecture, advanced authentication, and encryption to protect data in transit and at rest.
Apply security best practices to fortify the system against potential threats.
Implement a Monitoring & Alerting System
Develop and integrate a comprehensive monitoring and alerting system for real-time system health insights.
Ensure a system uptime of >99.9% through industry-standard tools, custom automation, and automated alerting mechanisms.
Share Knowledge & Strengthen the Team
Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions to familiarize the team with new technologies and best practices.
Ensure development and service operations teams can independently work with new tools in a critical operations environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience developing frontend and backend software for high-availability systems.
Proficiency in core frontend technologies, such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and experience with at least one framework, such as, Svelte, React, Vue. Preference for experience with TailwindCSS and Svelte 5.
Strong proficiency in at least two server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Rust, with preference for Python and Rust.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis' , 'DynamoDB, etc.
Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, such as, Jenkins, github, gitlab, etc.
Familiarity with frontend test automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Experience with OpenAPI and Protocol Buffers is a plus.
Familiarity with containerization such as Docker, Kubernetes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with satellite telemetry, command, and control systems, or IoT devices, especially with intermittent communications.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code or IaC using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP. AWS is preferred.
Experience working in an Agile and Scrum environment.
