The Technology & digital solutions (T&DS) is leading Forvis Mazars digital transformation. We aim at providing Forvis Mazars professionals with a seamless digital experience allowing greater collaboration worldwide in a safe environment. As a result, they’ll be empowered to deliver more value to clients every day.  

To reach these goals, T&DS transformation programme aims at consolidating the IT operations from a multi-local model spread across 100+ countries into a global model. This includes the infrastructure and the operating model needed to support the business, people and clients now and in the future.

The Technical Architect will be part of a small architecture team reporting the Enterprise Applications Architect and will be responsible for:

• Liaising with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and manage business requirements.
• Translating requirements into solutions architectures that are aligned with with our enterprise architecture and Forvis Mazars strategy.
• Producing and validating solution architectures across all architectural domains, including applications and data.
• Ensuring solution designs are aligned with appropriate architectural principles policies, standards, and blueprints.
• Supporting delivery teams during implementation to ensure solution integrity and providing functional and technical guidance to stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Developing and maintaining documentation and high-level designs associated with solution delivery.
• Contributing to the T&DS strategy and supporting our enterprise architecture.
• Presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and business/IT forums.
• Participating actively in the Technical Design Authority to assure proposed solutions.
• Leading our IT governance structures: TDA (Technical Design Architecture) and EAB (Enterprise Architecture Board).
• Promoting appropriate emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into our architecture.

This role will suit an experienced Technical Architect with hands-on experience working in a global organisation. To apply for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a solutions architect across a broad range of initiatives.
• Experience designing innovative digital solutions and an understanding of how modern software applications are built and delivered.
• Experience architecting solutions in a multi-vendor, multi-cloud environment.
• Technical understanding and experience in a range of technologies and architectural best practices in one or more of the following areas:
  • Microsoft Platform technologies (Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365)
  • APIs and integration technologies
  • Containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Identity Management
  • Cloud Native Architecture
  • Virtualisation Platforms, storage technologies, and enterprise server platforms
  • Enterprise Networking
  • Data and Analytics
• Awareness of EA frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Good all-round knowledge of data privacy practices and laws.
• Good all-round knowledge of security practices and procedures.

Skills and Attributes

We are looking for more than just a set of experiences and knowledge, so in addition to the technical competencies listed above, we also expect you to:

• Have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or a related field.
• Have a certification in cloud solution architecture for example AWS Certified Solution Architect or equivalent.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language mandatory).
• Be able to communicate architectural designs and concepts to different audiences, from C-Suite executives to technologists.
• Have strong influencing skills and the ability to work positively and sensitively with stakeholders.
• Be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Have a positive “can do” attitude and a willingness to get the job done.
• Be an active listener and proactive in offering ideas that will help Forvis Mazars evolve and meet its strategic objectives.
• Be an enthusiastic learner, proactive in ensuring your knowledge is up-to-date and maintaining a good awareness of business and technology trends in the data arena.
• Be adaptable to change, with the ability to spot and remediate issues before they arise.
• Have good relationship management skills and the ability to build and create a strong internal network across levels and disciplines within Forvis Mazars.
