Job Description

McDonalds is a global brand with new technology being deployed each year. This role will help manage the budget/projections/trend of spend for our Global Technology organization and work directly with business partners all over the world. This role resides in a strategic environment and a successful candidate will be both analytically and technically adept. The candidate will communicate to upper management frequently; professionalism is key.

They will need to navigate uncharted situations independently, achieve goals, and provide insightful analysis to drive the business and finance organization forward. Ability to boil-down and de-mystify information to facilitate effective cross-functional discussions is mandatory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate processes surrounding the long-range plan, annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly variance analysis within Global Technology
  • Investigate and understand detailed drivers of spending within the Technology business units, and support strategies to manage and report CAPEX, OPEX, and Project costs of over $100 million in spend.
  • Design, develop & deliver insightful reports/analyses for distribution within the Technology organization and across the wider organization on an ongoing basis
  • Cultivate robust business partnerships with an organization significant in size, complexity, and stature
  • Engage in meaningful and relevant interactions with senior leadership (Senior Directors and above)
  • Grasp the opportunity of frequent ad hoc analysis and projects, inception through eventual completion
  • Correlate large amounts of financial data into meaningful cross-functional business discussions

The expected salary range for this role is $75,700 - $94,620 per year

Qualifications

  • Solve problems and resolve conflict through strong and thoughtful analytics
  • Thrive and excel in ad-hoc situations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Sr. Leadership and department owners of financial outcomes of business decisions. Ability to tell the Technology Finance story.
  • Assess and prioritize large amounts of conflicting data quickly and confidently
  • Balance accountability, timeliness, and presentation with equal importance
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of working experience post undergraduate degree
  • Cost management and budgetary planning experience
  • Strong aptitude with financial systems
  • Ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data quickly and efficiently
