The Talent Development Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's Learning & Development Strategy. This role will focus on talent development initiatives aimed at enhancing employee and leadership skills and capabilities, developing career growth programs, and ensuring a high-performing workforce. The role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization to execute the strategy that is aligned with the organization's overall business goals and objective.
Key Responsibilities:
Develops and implements Learning & Development (L&D) Strategy that includes interconnectivity and interdependencies across Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Career Development, and other Talent Management initiatives supporting Leadership and professional development at all levels of the organization.
Provides subject-matter expertise on learning and development best practices within industry and Fortune 100 companies to inform the strategy and enterprise-wide program design.
Leverages proven change management practices to effectively advance the strategy and programs.
Ensures professional and leadership programs and offerings are aligned with MPC strategy and training is fit for purpose. Owns learning and development content and delivery methods that are contemporary and build proficiency in skills and competencies needed today and in the future.
Conducts regular assessments to identify and prioritize the training needs across different business units, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Leverages data to assess program effectiveness, propose improvements, and demonstrate return on investment.
Evaluates and implements delivery methods in alignment with business needs, effectiveness, and cost parameters in the form of classroom, virtual/on demand, mentoring, coaching, rotational programs, etc. allocating L&D resources appropriately.
Distills complex information into a simple narrative using different presentation and communication frameworks depending on audience such as executive-level, mid-level, and frontline employees.
Develops, implements, and manages a large portfolio of complex initiatives, programs, and projects with a high degree of interdependencies and works closely with the Succession Management, Performance Management, and Career Development Directors.
Builds strong relationships and collaborates across a wide range of internal stakeholders including Talent Management peers, HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, HR Leadership, and other business units.
Min Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field required.
Ten (10) or more years of Human Resources, Talent Management, Career Development, and Learning and Development Strategy (L&D) management experience required.
Prior experience in a senior learning and development role, with proven experience in creating and executing successful learning strategies required.
Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across all levels of the organization, with specific strength in influencing to drive progress while managing expectations.
Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Self-driven and proven ability to deliver programs in an ambiguous environment with minimal direction with specific strength in influencing and managing expectations.
Proven ability to identify and analyze metrics to measure success and identify gaps of talent programs.
Proficient in the current Microsoft Office Suite.
