The key responsibilities of the role include:
Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for handling and processing transactions for the Securities Finance 3rd Party Lending team for Equities, Fixed Income and FED trades. Demonstrates a clear understanding of the Securities Lending product and the process flow.
Under direct supervision, responsibility for handling and supporting routine transactions and support functions including:
· Timely market settlement of incoming and outgoing Transfers for 3rd Party Custodian relationships
· Process and review of daily client Sale activity
· Reconciliation of internal accounts
Works with internal teams as well as outside counterparties in an environment that encourages employee participation, engagement, and effective communication. Candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines. Candidate willwork within the securities finance operations group and follow procedures, guidelines and best practices. Candidate will work with partners in Chicago as well as our Bangalore office. Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
· College or University degree and / or relevant Securities Operations / stock loans work experience is preferred.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
· Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
Salary Range:
$63,200 - 94,800 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
