If you are a knowledgeable, creative, passionate individual who is interested in learning about and building unique security software that no one else is building, then this exciting opportunity is for you. As part of a larger team, you will be an important member helping develop professional cybersecurity solutions used to protect critical infrastructure around the world.You will be involved in every stage of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, coding, testing, and deployment.This position is onsite in Tampa; remote work will not be considered for this role.What You Will Be Doing• Implementing new features and ensuring appropriate levels of automated unit testing.• Contributing to the design and architecture of the solutions you work on.• Enhancing the automation testing framework to achieve test-driven development.• Working with local and remote engineering teams to deliver quarterly goals.• Growing your career as a software engineer under the mentorship of experienced team members.What We Need from You• A passion for cybersecurity and learning.• Dynamic, smart, adaptable, self-starter, open-minded, with a teamwork mentality.• Progressing towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related major.• Examples of extracurricular programming projects (e.g. on Git Hub).• Strong collaboration and communication skills.It Would Be Nice if You Had• Exposure to REST API utilization and SDK integration concepts.• Exposure to Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Team City concepts.• Exposure to virtualization, VMWare, Docker, or similar.• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts, processes, and tools.• Experience using the latest technology stacks.OPSWAT is an equal opportunity employer.
