Role Overview
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key member of Peerspace’s technical operations team, ensuring that our modern, containerized development environment and CI/CD pipelines run smoothly. You will work closely with development teams to support the deployment of web and mobile applications, help maintain robust monitoring and observability tools, and contribute to improving our overall DevOps practices. This role offers hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD automation, and the implementation of performance metrics like DORA metrics, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and process improvement.
Qualifications:
You are a great fit for this role if you have:
● Experience: 3-5 years in DevOps or a related field with a solid foundation in automation and deployment practices.
● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in containerization using Docker and familiarity with orchestration tools.
○ Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for web and mobile applications.
○ Understanding of monitoring and observability tools, with an interest in tools that capture DORA metrics.
○ Expertise in managing cloud infrastructure, observability, and other dev tools using Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
● Problem Solving: Experience leading technical projects with minimal supervision. A strong ability to diagnose and resolve operational issues, with a focus on automation and system reliability.
● Collaboration: Effective teamwork skills, with the willingness to work closely with developers, QA, and product teams to balance competing priorities.
● Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies to improve efficiency in a rapidly evolving DevOps landscape. Demonstrated ability to independently identify and implement process improvements.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
● CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance: Assisting in the design, implementation, and upkeep of robust CI/CD pipelines that support our web and mobile app development.
● Containerization Support: Building and maintaining Docker containers and supporting orchestration efforts to streamline our development and deployment processes.
● Monitoring and Observability: Contributing to the implementation and management of monitoring tools and observability practices, including tracking DORA metrics to improve system performance and reliability.
● Collaboration: Working closely with development teams to understand deployment needs and integrate automation into the development lifecycle.
● System Optimization: Troubleshooting issues, optimizing workflows, and recommending process improvements to enhance our DevOps infrastructure.
● Continuous Learning: Participating in knowledge sharing, adopting best practices, and staying updated with emerging technologies in the DevOps space.

The annual salary range for this role is $145,000 to $160,000. The actual salary will vary depending on experience, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
