TITLE: Marketing Events & Partnerships Admin. Specialist

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Schedule will vary based on programming and seasons. Works some weekends in the summer, winter and fall.
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Marketing Events & Partnerships Manager, the Marketing Events & Partnerships Administrative Specialist is responsible for all administrative and organizational needs of the department as well as fulfilling deliverables for Snowbird's corporate partners. The ideal candidate is a proven project manager with excellent organizational skills, constant attention to detail and professional communication experience both digitally and in person. The Marketing Events & Partnerships Administrative Specialist is someone who thrives in a collaborative, innovative and idea-driven Marketing culture. This job requires an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who enjoys both the details involved in planning events as well as has the interpersonal skills and mindset required to execute to a high standard. The candidate must work well under pressure and tight deadlines, have excellent communication skills and be available to work weekends and long shifts to ensure event/activation success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Own the department’s finances and large, complex budgets including accounting, tracking, forecasting and assist with writing.
Coordinates the department’s workflow by overseeing all aspects of internal and external projects in Wrike (project management tool) to keep the team on task and meeting critical deadlines.
Communicate with POWDR Partnerships team and Snowbird’s corporate partners to fulfill contract deliverables for 10+ partners.
Supervise 30+ event staff during Snowbird’s 3-month Oktoberfest event.
Assist with the creation, development, planning and strategy of all special events and partnership activations.
Coordinate with Advertising, Creative and Communications teams on department’s promotions, branding, communications, content and social media.
Manage the events and partnerships calendar throughout the year.
Participate in event setup & teardown both in the village and on-hill in all seasons.
Serve as the initial point of contact and cover event functions in manager's absence.
Manage hospitality needs for partners, POWDR employees, and other VIPs related to the P&P department.
Coordinate with partners to ship, receive, and brand products and swag for guest appreciation and giveaways.
Work with Marketing Events & Partnership Manager to analyze and build recaps for corporate partners and events.
Be an active member of the Marketing Division working closely with the Advertising, Communications, Creative, Digital Marketing, Content and Social Media teams to achieve marketing and organizational goals.
Manage Events & Partnership goals, budget and department finances.
Miscellaneous event and partnership projects and duties as assigned.
Occasional business travel within/outside of Utah.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
Bachelor’s Degree required.
2-4+ years of event management experience, ideally in a resort or hospitality setting.
Advanced ski or snowboard ability.
Must possess resourcefulness, attention to detail, creativity and the ability to anticipate, spot and fix problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Skills in bookkeeping and accounting.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with many pivots and meet deadlines consistently.
Strong work ethic, growth mindset, positive attitude and collaborative spirit.
Ability to execute tasks and projects independently, handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
A passion for the outdoors and elevating the guest experience through events, programming and partnership integration.
Ability to foster relationships regardless of personality and maintain a high level of professionalism regardless of situation.
The ability to competently undertake some physical work in a dynamic environment in all weather conditions with a can-do attitude, attention to detail, a happy disposition and a safety-conscious mindset.
Capable of routinely dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
Experience in Office 365 and project management systems.
WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time, year-round.
This position is in-person at Snowbird.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
General office environment.
Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
Must be able to walk on slippery surfaces of snow and ice.
Must be able to walk over uneven, uphill/downhill areas.
Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.
Must be able to walk through deep snow, occasionally.
