Product Manager - Ad Serving

Our mission in the Ad Performance Platform team is to build a next generation advertising platform that drives outcomes for hundreds of thousands of advertisers while creating a relevant ad experience for hundreds of millions of fans.


We are looking for a passionate and experienced Product Manager to help build and scale our ad systems at Spotify. In this role, you’ll own the roadmap for improving the Spotify Ad Server and developing new features to delight advertisers and users. This work is crucial to meeting our ambitious goals as an ad-supported platform and has a direct impact on revenue.


You’ll work with a diverse group of collaborators and stakeholders across R&D and business teams, including partner teams focused on booking, audiences, targeting and optimization, and measurement and reporting. Your work is critical to the success of ads at Spotify and one of the highest investment areas for Ads R&D, requiring frequent communication with leadership and the ability to navigate ambiguity and diverse stakeholder needs.


What You'll Do
  • Own the team level roadmap for the Spotify Ad Server, with a focus on targeting and data architecture
  • Work cross-functionally with backend engineers, ML engineers, data scientists, product marketing, and PMs across the Ads team to identify and deliver on products that drive revenue and improve the user experience
  • Create products which scale our ad platform
  • Create a healthy and productive environment in your team through honesty, accountability, empathy, and inclusivity


Who You Are
  • You have 3+ years of experience driving technical products, and can show the impact of the products you have shipped.
  • You have worked on platform-related products that serve a diverse set of customers.
  • You have a technical understanding of how to build products that scale.
  • You have experience or an interest in advertising products and how they impact business value and user experience.
  • You care deeply about the user experience and have extensive knowledge in design principles, UX, quantitative and qualitative research.
  • You can synthesize a strategy, build a product roadmap, and are dedicated at executing to achieve your business goals.
  • You are comfortable facilitating planning and decision-making across several teams, including partners, and know how to encourage and empower teams to get things done.
  • You have sound business judgment as well as ability to analyze qualitatively, quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.
  • You have strong written and oral communications skills, and can clearly communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

The United States base range for this position is $112,298.00 - $160,425.00 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. This range encompasses multiple levels. Leveling is determined during the interview process. Placement in a level depends on relevant work history and interview performance. These ranges may be modified in the future.
