This role is fully remote, CET +/-2H

Locations available: France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Romania, Lithuania - unfortunately these are the only countries that we are hiring in right now.


We're hiring a senior frontend engineer

As a product-driven company developing open-source software, we’re looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. Building Open Source Software used by thousands of developers and Content Managers worldwide means every decision impacts real businesses and developers’ workflows. Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with other engineers, product designers, and product managers in all phases of product development to deliver a high quality, stable product that delights users.

- Lead cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing, breaking down silos and improving technical alignment.

- Partner with product designers to maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring a cohesive user experience.

- Use your industry experience and growth mindset to drive innovation and experimentation.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship. Promote best practices for writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

- Conduct thorough code reviews for your peers and support community contributors.


Qualifications

- Strong expertise in front-end architecture, design systems and performance optimisation.

- Experience as a maintainer or active contributor to an open-source project with an engaged community.

- Expert in TypeScript, React and its ecosystem: (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Redux Toolkit Query, Styled components, Storybook, Vite).

- Proficient in writing unit and end-to-end tests with Jest and Playwright.

- Awareness of web accessibility standards and a solid understanding of WAI-ARIA principles.

- A self-driven, curious, and empathetic problem solver who enjoys exploring emerging technologies.

- Team player and excellent communication skills: empathy, humility and transparency are highly valued.

- 6+ years of experience in a similar role.

- Fluency in English.

- Bonus: Familiarity with Strapi CMS or other content management systems.

About the Content Team

The Content Team focuses on enhancing the content management experience by making Strapi an enjoyable place to write content in and supporting collaboration through advanced workflows. We work on features like content preview, review workflows, scheduled releases, bulk publishing, media library and the onboarding tour.

Our team consists of one backend engineer, one frontend engineer, two fullstack engineers, a Product Manager, and an Engineering Manager, supported by a Quality Assurance Engineer and a Designer. We keep our processes light, optimize for autonomy and efficiency, and value strong human connections in a fully remote environment. We are based in France, Spain and Italy but have other open countries.
