We are searching for a SEO Specialist to join our team. Studyportals Headquarters is in Strijp-S, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, with flexibility to partially work remotely.

At Studyportals, we help students find their dream education. As search algorithms evolve and AI-driven search grows, we need a SEO Specialist to refine our strategies, enhance search visibility, and ensure content remains fresh and scalable. You will play a key role in keeping us competitive in an AI-powered search landscape while driving long-term organic growth. 

What are your three main goals? 

  • Increase organic traffic of 10% YoY by optimizing SEO strategies, improving content structure, and refining keyword targeting. 
  • Enhance technical SEO by identifying issues, collaborating with developers, and ensuring our site remains optimized for search engines. 
  • Support scalable content strategies through programmatic SEO, AI-driven content automation, and structured data improvements to remain competitive in the AI-driven search era. 

What does your team look like? 

You’ll be part of the SEO team, which includes Elizabeth, our Senior SEO Specialist, Adrian, our Senior Editor, and a dedicated product owner. You will collaborate with the Growth team (4 engineers and a team lead), UX designers, and Product Owners to implement your strategies. You’ll report to Bianca, who manages the product team and reports to Emiel, the CTO, in a flat structure that enables fast decision-making and innovation. 

What are your responsibilities and tasks? 

  • Leverage AI-driven tools and programmatic SEO to automate and scale content production, ensuring competitiveness in AI-powered search. 
  • Conduct SEO split tests, analyse performance data, identify trends and insights to refine strategies for continuous growth. 
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance site performance, crawlability, and technical SEO efficiency. 
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis as part of a data-driven approach to content automation. 
  • Support the Senior SEO specialist in monitoring and analyze SEO performance using analytics tools, providing insights to optimize and scale strategies. 
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO, preferably in a fast-paced digital environment. 
  • Experience demonstrating programmatic SEO strategies to scale organic traffic growth. 
  • Familiarity with technical SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, website architecture, crawling, and indexing rules. 
  • Strong understanding of ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and SEO trends, or the ability to quickly find and experiment with the latest SEO developments. 
  • Experience with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog. 
  • Based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate, with the ability to work at the office at least two days a week on Monday and Friday. 
  • Competitive salary including a bonus and pension.
