Director of Global Executive Talent Acquisition

Job Purpose:

The Director of Executive Recruiting is a strategic and results-driven leader responsible for attracting, engaging, and hiring top executive talent to drive business success. This role will oversee the full executive search lifecycle, leveraging best-in-class search methodologies, including retained search strategies, market mapping, candidate assessment frameworks, competitive intelligence, and high-touch candidate management. With deep experience in third-party executive search, the Director will optimize internal executive hiring processes while reducing reliance on external search firms.

A strong executive presence and exceptional stakeholder relationship management are critical, as this leader will partner closely with the Senior Leadership and C-suite to align executive hiring strategies with business objectives. Additionally, the Director will develop cash flow modeling expertise for equity buy-outs, ensuring the financial viability of executive compensation packages.

Remote and or Hybrid position based on location - Salary Range varies based on location $120,000 to $180,000 plus annual bonus

Responsibilities:

Executive Search Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement a world-class executive recruiting strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Apply retained search methodologies, including market mapping, candidate assessment frameworks, and competitive intelligence, to attract high-impact leaders.
  • Manage the full-cycle executive search process, from research and sourcing to offer negotiation and onboarding.

Executive Relationship Management

  • Partner with the C-suite and senior leadership to deeply understand organizational needs and hiring priorities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights on executive talent trends, succession planning, and leadership hiring best practices.
  • Ensure a high-touch, world class experience for hiring managers throughout the hiring process.

Candidate Management & Assessment

  • Lead an exceptional candidate experience, ensuring timely communication, transparency, and professionalism throughout the hiring journey.
  • Conduct comprehensive candidate assessments, evaluating leadership competencies, cultural fit, and long-term potential within the organization.
  • Utilize structured assessment methodologies, including behavioral interviews, executive profiling, and leadership capability evaluations, to ensure top talent selection.
  • Provide guidance and support to candidates throughout the interview, offer negotiation, and onboarding process.

Financial & Compensation Expertise

  • Develop and utilize cash flow modeling for equity buy-outs to ensure competitive and financially responsible executive compensation packages.
  • Collaborate with finance, HR and legal teams to structure offers that align with business objectives.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing executive recruiting team.

Process Improvement & Internal Capability Building

  • Reduce reliance on external search firms by developing in-house executive search expertise and operational efficiencies.
  • Implement and optimize executive hiring tools, systems, and data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Track key performance metrics and continuously refine executive recruiting strategies based on insights and industry trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 15 years’ experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience in executive search, with at least 5 years in an in-house leadership role.
  • Extensive experience with a third-party executive search firm, applying best-in-class methodologies, including retained search strategies, market research, and assessment frameworks.
  • Proven ability to engage, assess, and influence senior executives.
  • Proficient in Excel for complex financial modeling, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and compensation details.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication written and verbal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in candidate management and assessment, ensuring a seamless and high-touch executive hiring experience.
  • Experience conducting leadership competency evaluations, behavioral interviews, and data-driven candidate assessments.
  • Track record of successfully hiring senior-level executives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
