Merchandise Sales Rep

Fortune 500 company! Well known and established company within the Utility industry. Great reputation throughout the state of Alabama.

Job Description:

The employee will be supporting field offices for the Appliance Sales and Service Department. List below are the day to day duties:

  • Assisting customers that walk into the building. They can be supporting either customers specifically there to look at the merchandise or customers going into to see the business office.
  • Managing the inventory of that specific location. This will include monthly inventory counts, changing price tags each week, updating inventory requirements, weekly.
  • Partner with the business office to keep the location organized and clean.
  • Market the merchandise in the community. This can include Chamber meetings, putting flyers out with local organizations, marketing to new builders. Basically doing whatever is needed to drive traffic into the building.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Retail Sales, Merchandising, or Store Management experience
  • 2+ years of Inside Sales or Outside Sales experience
  • Experience managing a store with sales, inventory, etc.
  • Retail sales will be key, ideally in a smaller store that requires them to perform many job duties. Must understand how to run the entire location.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, Retail POS systems, and able to learn the inventory system.
  • Organizational skills, Will be working with a lot of paperwork for each customer.
  • Able to communicate. Will be the face of the location and will be interacting with customers.

Work Schedule:

M-F, no weekends; 8am - 5pm

Additional Information:

Will be able to earn a monthly bonus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
