What You’ll Do
Work with Digital Systems team to build and maintain React components which will be used across assets in Telstra Digital
Be self-accountable for Quality Assurance incl. functional testing, cross-browser testing, and Accessibility testing
Ensure that development teams are adhering to the usage requirements and that the rendered result is in-line with Digital Systems’ expectations
Consider and implement innovative techniques to improve delivery, quality, and automation
Develop reusable SCSS styles and mixins, following a clearly defined and consistent HTML structure
Build vanilla JavaScript and React components with a strong emphasis on reusability and a simple, intuitive APIs
Apply proficient React.js knowledge, including usage of hooks and web components
Demonstrate a solid understanding of micro front-end architecture and its implementation
Collaborate closely with the Telstra Accessibility team to deliver highly accessible UI patterns that meet at least WCAG AA standards
Create comprehensive documentation to guide consuming application teams in using the Able design system and its ecosystem of patterns correctly
Implement and showcase new UI patterns in Storybook, ensuring they are tested, accessible, and ready for consumption
About You
Sydney based, with full working rights, though we can consider Melbourne based candidates too
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with more than 7+ years' experience and a strong portfolio
Solid knowledge of back-end technologies like Java, Spring Boot, and databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Proficiency in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., reactjs)
Knowledge of accessibility tools and guidelines
Experience in deploying code on the cloud
Ability to coordinate deployment activities
