Frame Designer with TDI/Windstorm Experience
About Us
We are a family run structural and civil engineering firm based in Forney, Texas, with offices in San Antonio, Houston and Denver, Colorado. Since 2000, we have designed projects all over the country and become known for dependable engineering designs, exceptional customer service and true economic value. We are looking for a remote Engineering Frame Designer with TDI/Windstorm experience to join us. Our Designers work directly with other Design staff, Project Coordinators and Structural Engineers and must be committed to high-quality work, technical skills, and attention to detail in order to complete projects in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
2+ years of Frame Design with TDI/Windstorm experience
Minimum of High School Diploma, Technical Certificate or Associate of Applied Science in Design related field preferred.
AutoCAD proficiency required
Detail-oriented
Knowledge of Residential Construction is a plus
Self-starting work ethic
Self-motivated
Takes initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and proven ability to learn new software programs
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Working independently and as a team member
Residential Structural Frame and TDI/Windstorm knowledge
The ability to prioritize and concurrently work on multiple projects and maintain deadlines
The ability to read, understand and draw frame details
Take existing details with or without redlines and modify them to match existing conditions
Use architectural plans, structural frame and wind bracing plans to create plans.
